Question Plywood seam in pullout bed needs reinforcement-how?

How should I reinforce this seam on king size pull out bed on 2000 Jayco Eagle series 10 UD pup? There was luan or paneling stapled to top and bottom and it was not doing the job. The seem gets caught when I pull the slide out the camper. There is not much room for for wood below the pullout, and that is why the factory used 1/8 luan I think. I removed the luan that was "holding" the two pieces of plywood together. The 1/2 plywood itself is in great shape, just bowed a bit and am thinking: 1/4 plywood, luan, sheet metal, straight steel brackets, or whatever has worked for you! to cover the seem on both sides -- inside and outside of the camper.

How about this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Simpson-...TP37/100375215
Would these work?https://www.aftfasteners.com/product...g-250-box.html

How about these?

If the luan was stapled and "GLUED" it should really help, it would make it a solid piece.

I'd probably consider gluing and screwing a sheet of 1/2" cheap plywood or OSB under the mattress side. I'd run the seams opposite.

Thanks. I chose what I think will be a permanent fix: bought 2 pieces of hardened 1045 steel 1/8" x 4"x76" and connector nuts and bolts. Drilled holes through the steel and sandwiched the plywood between.
