Removing wheel center cap plug

Is there a trick to remove to center cap plug? They are aluminum wheels and a Jayco Eagle TT

If you don't see some small screws holding the center cap on from the outside of the wheel, then you'll have to jack up the trailer, remove the wheel from the hub and go from there. Will probably see some small screws on the back side, or maybe just a light tap with a hammer to knock it out from the front side.

A picture would help but my alum wheels have a “tomato can” like center cap that has a removable plastic cap on the end. Removing it allows access to the rubber cap on the end of the bearing dust cover which allows access to the ez-lube grease zerk.
I remove both caps with a flat blade screwdriver. A little gentle use will minimize scratching.

Here are a couple pics of it? There is a little notch I tried to pry it but couldn’t get it to budge and felt like it was going to break

There’s a little slot that you just insert a flat head screwdriver and pry. It will pop off

Looks very similar to mine. The center cap should pop off with some coaxing. And the notch is where to pry. Mine have that too but I forgot to mention.
You could also remove the wheel and look at the back side of the can. Mine are pushed into the wheel and can be removed by tapping it from the outer side.
Anyway, back to the cap. Mine have “fingers” on the back side that hold it in place and I think I remember the cap being plastic.

I do not have those kind of wheels but they almost look like the older style of center cap that comes off from the back side. Have to remove the wheel first. Sure would make hub maintenance a pain.
I may be wrong, but throwing it out there.
