roof membrane bubble after applying lap sealant

Yesterday, while cleaning my roof I noticed a large bubble in the lap sealant formed over a screw of one of my vents. I spoke to my local RV repair shop and they advised that I should remove all the lap sealant and reseal. They said that I should use camp fuel to clean the surface (another RV dealer also told me to use Kerosene to clean surface before applying sealant) so with two recommendations, I used kerosene to clean the area (roof membrane and plastic lip of vent). I applied with a tooth brush (did not brush too much) and then wiped clean with a paper towel. There really wasn't much old sealant to remove as I did I could job in removing it. After cleaning, I waited approx. 20 mins for the area to dry before applying the lap sealant. Temperature at time of lap sealant application was approximately 63 degrees F. This morning, I looked at the job and too my horror, the roof membrane has formed a bubble in several areas next to lap sealant and the lap sealant has a firm skin but is still very very soft. Is this a normal? Will the bubble in the roof membrane relax? Is it normal for the lap sealant to be as soft as I described 15 hours after application? Any and all comments would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Not unusual for the TPO to bubble a little when DICOR is applied.

I have never seen this, read about it, or heard about it. I would call Dicor to be on the safe side. I have spoken with them a couple times. They were very helpful.

As Grumpy states, Dicor on TPO results in lifting but you will be OK.
