Stove flame yellow and uncontrolled

One of my stove burners will not turn on with the piezoelectric igniter. When I light it with a match it is uncontrolled large and yellow. Everything looks correct. I can't find a solution on line.

Sounds like an air/fuel mixture problem. Each burner will have it's own air flow adjustment. You're not getting enough air to the mixture, you're just getting propane.

You likely have a spider web or insect (or any debris) where the fuel and air mix. You have to raise the top to check. You can use compressed air if needed to blow out anything that you see there. ~CA

I thought I had cleaned it, I'll try the compressed air idea.

X2, don't adjust the air/fuel mix until after you add a witness line, so you know where to put it back to.

Spiders love propane! Your description sounds just like the spider nests I have had in the past. Need to clean the inside of the tube. Make sure the air/fuel is back were you started.

I had a similar issue. One burner with yellow flame.
I removed the burner from the unit, removed the "cover" from the burner and blew it out with shop air. Out came the remains of a spider web. Reinstalled and now has nice blue flame.

Thanks everyone.
