Zep

Not even sure where to begin. I'm currently in a Snowbird park and a lot of the permanent 5th wheels are being "waxed" using Zep. First cleaning with the Stripper and followed with the Polish.

The results look good but after too many decades of waxing boats I have more than a bunch of severe doubts.

This isn't a recommendation, and I'm not doing it, but just to get others reactions and comments.

There are volumes on the Internet about RV fading, especially the cap and fixes. A Google search will bring them up but the bottom line is there is no permanent fix other than a repaint of the cap or other area. Some swear by ZEP but from what I have heard and seen the fix is not good for more than a couple of years if that much.

I wish there was someone to take on a class action suit against the RV manufacturers because there are thousands of owners out there with the same problem.

Problem is they are at the mercy.of the 3rd party supplier. That is why the problem is hit or miss across all brands.

I read some good reviews using Zep and tried it. Goes on easy and looked good. Forward abt 6 months, it started peeling and looked terrible. I had to use their stripper to take it off. The old adage is true; “if it’s too good to be true . . .”
I recommend “no”.
