We tend to take our shoes off at the door. Bought 2 rectangular rubber mats with 1 inch raised edges that hold water/mud in place. 1st mat is to step onto, 2nd is to set our shoes on for storage.

I have been using this for the last 2 years outside.. it is heavy enough it does not blow away..

We use the Camping World folding metal step. This unit is very durable and has a large grate area. Perfect for stomping before entering the trailer.

Also solves our problem of to much height from the last step and ground on our OFF-ROAD POPUP.

Here's another choice that weighs less but accommodates more weight plus it's less expensive
