2001 Jayco Eagle Chevrolet Express Cutaway G3500

Hello! Jayco fans,
I am considering purchasing this V8, 8.1L engine 23footer with 38,000 miles on it for my sister who is currently living in her car! I hear that the engine is not very reliable ?

Will it be worth my $25,000 investment?
Thanks so much!
Rose

Rose - I'm pretty sure we had that 2008 Chevy V8 Vortec engine in our first RV. We bought it used from a family friend and it had about 80,000 miles on it. No problems. I don't think I ever heard anyone say that engine wasn't reliable.

May it isn't.
But I don't recall reading as much negatives on that one as I did on the Ford V-10s.

I know prices are crazy now, but we paid about $21K for our 2008 five years ago. $25K for a 2001 strikes me as a bit too much. But that's just my uneducated first impression.
