2016 Jayco Grayhawk 31FS DC Circuit Breaker Panel

Hi All,

I'm trying to organize my DC fuse panel. None of the fuses are labelled currently. Is there any standard on how the circuits are wired or is it different for every RV? I have 15 fuses including 3, 25 amp fuses at the top. Please see picture.

Hi Guys,

I'm very surprised you haven't heard from other Greyhawk owners. Most members of this forum are a generous bunch. I would think someone would send you a picture of their circuit label. Jayco has been very cooperative and very helpful with me, especially when it came to my ask for AC & DC diagrams. Mine is an '02 Designer 3230 and my service panel looks much the same as the one in your photo. Let me know if you would like a picture.

Welcome aboard and best regards.

The top 3 are for if somehow someone reverses the polarity of the battery connection, then one or all will blow. Regarding the other fuses, I am not sure that mine are labeled and will check next time I am in the RV, however even if they were labeled I would believe that each rv could be different (perhaps except for the same exact year and model and even then I wouldn't trust they are the same). My plan is to use my label maker and label each one if one was to blow. I also have a vom (voltage ohm meter) that makes it easy to find a blown fuse in the panel.

When you state you are going to "organize" the fuse panel, are you simply referring to cleaning and labeling everything? I would be hesitant to move things around. One thought I had, but not sure I will ever do it, is that you can purchase fuses with an led built-in that are supposed to light up if the fuse was to blow. That would make finding a blown fuse easy, but I have yet to blow a fuse over many years and the meter makes it almost as easy, no need to pull each fuse to visually look at it if you have a meter.

If you contact Jayco support via their site and provide the VIN they will send you all the wiring diagrams. I did this just so I have it when I end up needing it. It may take them a few days or weeks to get back to you though.

In one of the PDF they sent back it has all the detail for each fuse/breaker. I'll attach what I have for my 2018, but I wouldn't trust it for doing actual work. I wouldn't trust Jayco's either honestly.. I'd just pull fuses/flip breakers and document what stopped working for each.

On the one pic it shows the horizontal breakers in the control panel, but I have 3 more than you...

Here's the wiring for my 2016 Greyhawk 29MV. Notice that the DC wiring is color-coded, and the AC cables have colored tape for tracing.

It should be labeled on the inside of the cover.

Fuses

My 2017 Jayco Melbourne has a label on the back of the plastic door that you open to look at the fuses. It list the area of the rv that each fuse protects.

DO NOT assume all RV's are wired alike. They are not. Use a voltmeter and chase down the circuits.

My 2019 Greyhack 30X has two breaker boxes! One has just the circuit breakers and the other has just the fuses in it. Mine may be the only one but everything is labeled correctly

That means you have a breaker box and a fuse box.
