2018 greyhawk 29mvp gps no volume to base unit

The base unit with the remote docked quit volume to the base unit but still has volume to the coach. I can't hear that well enough to use it on the road. What do I need to do to restore the volume to the base unit. The remote has volume when not docked. Hate this gps system. I am about to take a 2000 mile trip and need to correct this problem to make the unit usable. Thanks for any help!! Yes it is the garmin rv bbt600

I'm not familiar with your unit at all. Here is a link that I found that describes some of the various volume settings. Maybe something here will be helpful to you.

The best I can tell is that the power button on the dock also serves as a mute button for the dock.

Under music, settings check and see if the internal amp is checked. Without it theres no sound on at least the cab speakers.

The power button shows that it is not muted and the amplifier shows a check. Any other suggestions?

garmin gps

I should add that the unit was working properly for a while and then when I turned it back on a few days ago it would not work from the front speakers.

I read a little bit more about "zones" in the manual. It looks like they can be used to control which speakers sound comes out of. You might take a look at that.

+1 Rusty
Mine had 3 or 4 zones. Only 2 were valid, 1/2. 1 should be the front doors and 2 the cabin.

Just thinking about it, make sure the switch for outside speakers is off (by side door). When that is on door speakers don't work for me if I recall correctly...

Remember...

Do not plug your phone or tablet into the USB for any reason. Your Garmin hates that and will go nuts with various features failing. Only use the USB for updating. It’s a known bug in their software.

gps volume problem

It was the outside speaker switch that had been bumped on perhaps by one of the dogs. Thanks to everyone for their help on this. Garmin sure didn't do a good job of providing information on this unit.

This is the reason we replaced the original rocker switches with illuminated ones for both the Outside Speaker and Awning Light. Then you will always know when they are on!
