2020 Entegra Qwest Inverter

Hi All,

I have a new Qwest 24R. This MH came with a 1,000W Magnum Dynamics CSW1012. When I tried to run a 1,000W coffee maker the inverter would shut off. The inverter is located in an electrical compartment near the rear of the unit. The wire length from the inverter to the batteries is very close to 10'.
I assumed that the reason the coffeemaker was not working is becouse the inverter was not sized for for the coffeemaker.
So I decided to purchase a CSW2012 2,000W inverter I have it temporarily installed in the MH. When I test run the coffeemaker the same thing is happening. The coffeemaker starts for a few seconds and then shuts down. The wires from the batteries to the inverter look like they are 3GA. Do I need to ungrade the wiring? The coffeemaker is the biggest appliance I plan on ever running in this unit. Is there anything else that needs to be done to get this up and running?

Could be your batteries dropping voltage.

Due to wiring size? Or bad batteries.

Whats the voltage output of the inverter when the coffee machine is on? What is the input voltage at the converter from the batteries? The Ohms law experts need more information.

Batteries would be where I would start and how they are connected.

If your pos and negative are on the same battery you aren't getting the advantage of using two. The pos lead for the inverter should be coming off of one and the negative off the other.

Look at pg 22 of the owner's manual for the error codes that explain why the inverter shutdown. Also, the manual recommends AWG 1/0 wire for run of 10'-15' for CSW1012 and AWG 4/0 wire for run of 5'-10' for CSW2012. Wire run greater than 10' for CSW2012 is not recommended.

Inverter keep as close to the source (batteries) 3 ft. max and go with cable what fit into the inverter connector. It is easier to lengthen the 110 volt cabling.
