31FS Electric works only on shore power

Everything works on shore power just fine. Generator rebuilt last year and works great. Unplugged from shore power, started up generator (waited until unit warmed up) and no power to generator or microwave.

2012 Greyhawk 31FS. Replaced coach and house batteries about one month ago. First theory is i mixed up the battery cables. None of the cables test out with multimeter as a ground as expected. All battery cables are black and none marked. One short cable has a white piece of tape and i suspect that is the ground. All cables disappear into cable management and I am unable to trace the ground to a proper connection on frame.

2nd theory is the ground from the house battery is no longer connected to the frame.

Note: Checked all breakers and fuses found under the bed all fine. Checked breaker switch on generator and it is fine.

Finally resolved. Everything worked on shore power. Unplug from shore power and generator works perfect but not giving power to coach. Tech opened up the Automatic Transfer Switch (under rear bed) to find no power coming from Gen. Next he went to the generator (cummins 4000). He opened a electrical box under the coach on the right side of the gen and found wires melted. He fixed the wires, tightened the loose screw that was the suspected to be the root cause. Many thanks to Dave at RV Service LLC in Strasburg, VA
