Best gear for towing recommendations

Just bought new Jayco 29MV in May and now I'm thinking about towing. I own a 2010 Ford Escape that has only 40K miles and I've checked weights and towability. The vehicle is fine. Now I'm looking for the best towing set-up out there.
Thanks in advance.

There are no less than a dozen threads on this already, and no less than a dozen opinions on what is "The best". I think if you stick with the major 3 or 4 players in that market, you'll be fine. Roadmaster, Blue Ox, Ready Brake, Brake Buddy, all fine products. You'll probably notice more difference between methods than you would between brands.

Add RViBrake to Dustdevil's list.
Look at the features and specifications of the tow bars and supplemental brakes and pick one that you are most comfortable with. I have had a Blue Ox tower set-up and RViBrake for about 5 years and am happy with my choice. You'll find that most people like what they chose.

I use the NSA Ready Brute Elite. It has the mechanical brake already built into the tow bar. Relatively easy setup on my jeep. Takes about 3 minutes to hook it all up and/or take down.

I'm not sure if Ford has a harness kit for the Escape, but MOPAR makes a great one for the Jeep to just plug into the 7 pin and all the turn signals/brakes work and it doesn't put miles on the Jeep odometer.

Lots of quality equipment available for towing your Escape. We have a Blue Ox Aventa tow bar and RViBrake set up for our Jeep Wrangler. I also picked up a 5 Star tuner for the V10. I'm very happy with the towing capaility of our 29MV, I believe you will be too.

We use the Blue Ox Aventa tow bar with their Patriot braking system to tow our Chevy Equinox. This past summer we went over Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. It crests at over 12000 feet. Greyhawk did a fine job getting over it. No complaints.
