Big foot levelers

Had an issue with corroded underhood battery post and the rv wouldn't start. Once we figured out the problem everything was fine except for the big foot leveling system. We have no power to the control panel. When we push the power button nothing happens. Thoughts?

big foot

The Bigfoot leveler (on MINE) are powered from a red wire from the positive post of the right understep battery. this wire goes to a circuit breaker mounted on the side of the battery box behind the batteries. the wire probably snuck away from you when you were reconnecting.

I know they are totally different rigs but my 2014 Seneca's Bigfoot control panel is fed from a fuse directly attached to my main battery solenoid that switches the house batteries on and off. It is one of the two fuses attached to the solenoid pictured below. Worth a look!

Mine blew once but didn't look "blown". But when I put a meter on it it was indeed a goner. New fuse got me working again.

Good luck!

Did the dame thing. Checked continuity on the fuses, both seemed good but put new ones in just to be sure!

The only other things I might suggest would be to check the plug on the main Bigfoot control box and make sure it hasn't become dislodged due to our "rolling earthquakes". I have no idea where it might be in your rig, in my Seneca it was mounted to the floor of my rig under the false bottom of a cabinet near my entry door. But it probably won't be too far from the touchpanel. And the touchpanel cable connects to both the touchpanel and the main control panel, check those connections too.

If you find the control box you could then verify 12-volts is actually making it to the unit or not.

Check out these fuses. They have a diode that lights up when there is a short.
