Broken button on monitor panel

I have a 98 Jayco 324 FL Eagle motorhome. The test button on the monitor panel has pushed in and isn't usable. I haven't been able to find a user manual or anything that would show me how to fix it. Any ideas?

Can you remove the panel to see if the button is removable so it can be replaced?

Can you post a picture of this button/monitor panel? Without seeing it, I'm assuming the panel can be removed to expose the backside, to see if the button is replaceable.

That is what I am hoping and haven't been able to find anything that gives me manuals to know what parts are the hood and what part is the panel

Thanks for asking! I thought I had added them when I posted initially. It is part of the hood, including the fan for the stove. So I'm hoping to find something that lets me know what's what. The test button doesn't appear broken, but it no longer works when pressed from side to side.

That switch should be replaceable. You should be able to use a very thin bladed knife to pop it out. Slide it under the flange on each side and gently pry it up.

Of all the possible test buttons you seem to have one of the easiest to replace. As Grumpy said, you should be able to pry it out...and if you damage it prying it out, no problem. It may not be super easy to find a momentary contact switch that size, but you will find something the correct size. If you cannot find a momentary contact switch, a regular SPST switch should work...you'll just have to remember to turn it off again. Once you get it out, you should be able to find specs on printed on the switch to search online.

That button should be easily removed if you would jut lower the vent and open the backside of the compartment that has all of the wires in it. There will likely be two clips that pop out and are holding the switch in its place. Squeeze them in and push the switch out.
I would recommend that you replace like with like; by that I mean get a switch which is only "ON" while it is being held. These are Momentary switches. This way you cannot leave it on by mistake and cause some other problem.

This style switch should be the right size, or close to it. You'll need to look at the back side of it, to see how many terminals it has. This one has two. You may have as many as six on yours. There will be many places to order it from online, or from your dealer.
