Charging problem

I have a 2010 Jayco Greyhawk and my cabin battery does not charge from AC power or engine power.

Welcome to the forum.

Has it been charging OK before now?
Have you checked the voltage at the battery when it should be charging?

Agree w/ OAZ. Grab a multimeter and check to see if you're getting 13 or 14V to the battery when plugged in / running the generator.

WE had a similar problem on our 2016 31 DS.
It was caused by a Failure of the Solenoid under the hood
that connected charge from engine to house batteries .
There is a second solenoid that is by Battery also that should be checked.

New battery and I hooked up my battery backwards and blew the power inverter. I replaced inverter and still not charging. Is there a charge I am not seeing?

Probably should check all the fuses and breakers as well, both RV side and those under the dash & engine hood.

I'm told that there's a "hooked battery up backwards" fuse in the system. I'm not sure if it was in the inverter you replaced.

You can always call or email Jayco.

Inverter can be tested easily. Hook up 120 volt power to RV/Trailer. Disconnect 12 volt battery. Check voltage on cables coming to the 12 volt battery. No reading equals no charging.

Good tip above on checking breakers and fuses.

Check for any GFIs that may need to be reset as well.

I would look at the under hood solenoid , there maybe one by coach
battery.
These are known to fail, I always carry spare.
Around $15.00
You should feel a click on unit when turning key to start engine.
