Cummins emmisions code???

Hello All:
This past weekend my Seneca threw an engine code, ID 5357 FM15. It seems to be a sensor issue. Anyone have this happen to them?

I wonder, haven't yet checked, if this might still be under Cummins warranty? 2015 Seneca on a 2014 Freightliner chassis, 36,000 miles.

I tried looking that code up on Cummins Quickserve but said that the code was not valid for my engine serial number, which I have a 2018.5 Seneca. I suggest signing up for Cummins Quickserve and you can go there and search it and have all the info on you motor, parts section, Manuals, wiring diagrams and service section. For instance when I went there to get a link to post I found out I had campaign C2191 that I will now contact Freightliner about. You can also get your generator info there.

UPDATE: also when I was getting the link the Fault Code Troubleshooting Manual had been updated and when I searched the attached PDF came up with this document listing SPN5357

I would hope that it might be covered by the 5 year emissions warranty- good luck and keep us posted on the solution Les

Well, I'm still checking this out. I will follow up as I work through this and the final result.
Thanks for your help.

The dash light came on 48 miles after I filled up the fuel tanks. I thought I might've gotten some bad fuel. When I got home I changed the fuel filter (again) and the water/fuel separator. I still have the same code, no matter how often I clear it, engine running or not, key off or on. No difference.
Monday, 10-14, I took it in to a Cummins dealer to have them look at it. There was an emissions recall, so I told them to keep it and figure out the code.

Apparently there were 2 inactive codes. 1 like I had run it out of DEF fluid, which I had not. It has gotten down to 1/4 tank, but not low enough to start blinking. The 2nd code is more troubling, "Engine Fuel Injection Quantity Error".

At least the codes are both inactive. Probably won't know anymore until next week.
My engine warranty expired 4 months ago. *Sigh*

Good News!!!

I dropped the RV off at the Cummins dealer in Mt. Clemens, MI on Monday, 10-14. Picked it up this morning, 10-18. There was an active emissions recall on it so they did the recall, $2688.95 worth. They also cleared the inactive codes/dash light. No codes. No dash light. Good to go for now.

Heading to Gladwin for the Jeep Creep social thing next weekend. 324 miles round trip. Should be a good road test. Fingers crossed.
