So after 10 years and 160,000 miles, you have issues with a $6,000 repair bill? If the body and frame rot is kept in check, expect another $2-4K hit when the transmission needs replacing/rebuilding.
Then you'll have a truck to that'll take you beyond 15 years 250,000 miles. Now divide $10K in repairs over the 7 years you'll have owned the truck. (10/7=1428/year=$120 per month) Now compare that to the monthly payments for a new truck. Still your LAST used car?
