Entry door light bulb replacement

2016 Greyhawk 31DS —-
We’re trying to remove the entry door bulb with no luck. Can’t pull or twist to remove. Suggestions will be greatly appreciated. An attached photo is provided.

That's a standard 922 type bulb. Grab the glass and pull straight down. The plastic is not part of the bulb. Look at 922 bulb on the internet to see what the raw bulb looks like.

Replace it with a cool burning and low wattage LED bulb.

Its just a pulls out. Normally they pull out easily. The bulb looks to be melted into the plastic.

Grab a needle nose pliers, and give the glass bulb a yank, expect the glass to break. Then clean the fitting, and install an led board.

Yes to what the others have said. I too replaced my exterior bulb on our 2016. It pulls down and out. Get some safety googles on, wrap a towel around the bulb, turn the master power switch off - grab with pliers and yank down.

I would try to slightly lift the large round part of the bulb off the black plastic behind it first to free it from sticking if it melted the plastic. Then get needle nose pliers and grab it at the base (thin part) of the bulb and pull while holding the white socket. Be sure to wear eye protection as the bulb may break and you don't want pieces of glass go into your eyes.

I suspect many of us have found a stuck bulb like that one. My best attempts have been to rock the bulb back and forth in the same direction as the bulb is inserted. If it doesn't break loose then I use a bit more effort with protective gloves on in case the bulb breaks, and if it does break, then I grab my pliers. ~CA
