FYI - fixed my awning LED strip

Colorado Carefree awning - 2016, the LED strip was so dim as to be useless. There's a youtube video out there that shows you what to do and it's accurate.


I picked up a 5m LED strip from Amazon for around $10. Snipped the connectors off and soldered the original connector to the new strip. Then peel and stick the new LED strip on.


Easy peasy - took about 20 minutes.
Much, much brighter than the factory one and a fraction of the cost.

I don’t have a problem with dimness, just most of the LEDs don’t work. Not sure I want to replace it since it attracts so many bugs, but can you tell me which YouTube channel you mentioned?
