Ghost in the Machine (Television)
I have a 2016 Greyhawk 29MV with the front entertainment center instead of the front bunk. A couple of weeks ago, the Furrion 39" television just went NUTS.
Seriously, it was rapidly changing channels, inputs, and settings all by itself. I covered the IR sensor and removed the batteries from the remote, in case the television was getting a spurious signal, but nothing helped. We couldn't watch the television at all.
So I took the opportunity to replace the television with one that runs directly on 12 volts DC. (Jensen #JTV4015DC) I picked up the 12 volts DC power source from the OTA antenna amplifier which is mounted in the wall behind the television.
Now when we boondock and run the television from the coach battery, we don't have the voltage conversion losses from the inverter.
BTW, the gremlin in the Furrion television was in the manual button assembly on the side of the television. I disconnected the buttons and the television is working correctly with the remote.
