Keyless lock

It seems my keyless lock is not working or somehow lost its programming. Lights flash on the keypad as I press in our code but when done I get a red light. To use the shortcut to lock it, I also get a little red light and it does not lock. Does anyone know how to reprogram the lock? At first I thought it might be the battery but the lights still work.

Mine acted like that. In my case after talking to maker they said put fresh Energizers in. They hate Duracells. It still acts up now and again but new batteries did fix my problem. I still carry a key whenever I lock up the rig.

Thanks, we will try new batteries tomorrow. Did you have to reprogram it after putting in the new batteries?

On mine, yes. Instructions are inside battery panel. Unfortunately too insecure, but you will see why.

I worked out a deal to replace my key door locks with electronic locks a few years back with the mfr. The mfr sent me one unit to try out on our EAGLE 284BHS. Well, the lock worked ok for a while and then being located in Florida with the humidity and rain, caused the entering of codes a hit or miss system. The touch sensitive surface was a capacitive design and the moisture in teh air caused issues. After about 6 months, I removed the electronic lock as we were constantly forced to use the key anyway. Florida neighbor had the same issues.

Keyless entry maybe ok for the weekender, but for me (full timer) it's a pain.

My keyless entry works fine as long as the sun isn't shining directly on it. With the heat from the sun the keys will quit responding. I had the unit replaced but the new one did exactly the same thing.

This is one of the last spots I'd want to have a fancy electronic gadget...
