More insight on Equalizer System Jacks

I know that we have a couple of threads on problems with leveling jacks, but I am somewhat confounded on my Auto Level system by Equalizer Systems (ES).

They started to be intermittent in the extend mode (both auto and manual) a couple of months back. I cleaned all connections and put applied connector grease to all wires and connections, checked the grounds and so forth. They restract normally.

The ES folks said "contactor" so I bought a new one and "no joy". They sent me the trouble shooting guide and I ran through it all. The blue wire (extend exciter wire) from the Controller to the Contactor is only .1V. The retract is full house voltage (13.4) when activated. I tested a the contactor, then at the plug nearest the controller to make sure it wasn't a continuity problem.

The control panel lights up and appears to send commands, so I am arriving at the conclusion that I need to replace the $500 controller.

Does this sound right to all of your experts or is there something I am missing.

Well, the controller fixed the problem with jacks. Now I am curious if the controller can be refurb'd. Any electronics technicians curious to give it a try?

It would only be the extend side of the circuits.

Anyway....expensive to fix, but at least it is fixed.
