New to towing

Hi guys,

I am still new to towing behind my class C and here is a quick question.
I will be using my MasterTow dolly to carry my two kayaks to a lake so do I have to use break controller and the towing button or not?

If the trailer has brakes, use them. But I do not believe that trailer would have brakes. It's on the small size.

I'll let someone else comment on using tow mode.

If the electric brakes are already wired in, there's no need to disable it, you will probably have to adjust the gain to the lower settings so it will not lock up.

As for tow/haul mode.... not necessary

While technically not necessary for the trailer pictured I have been using Tow mode without any trailer on our last 4 or 5 trips and what a difference it makes. The transmission is less eager to downshift on slight inclines and there's more noticeable downshifting on declines to help with braking.
Just my 2 cents!

Stay safe and have fun!
