Outside TV

I have a 2017 Greyhawk 29ME. It came with cable TV connections in one of the outside storage compartments. When I connect coax cable to TV I get no signal. Both inside TV’s work fine. I was told by Jayco if I want outside TV I will have to disconnect one of the inside TV’s. This makes no sense to me. Why not just put an A-B switch in or a 3 way splitter?
Anyone else come across this issue?

The cable connector in storage compartment I believe is for the cable input from the campground cable service.

That's usually in the power cubby. Mine has one on the other side that's meant for an outside tv.

I have the cable connection and ac outlet in one of my storage compartments on the awning side, and it works just fine. No need to shut off any of the two inside tv's to get it to work. That makes no sense.

My connection for cable input is on drivers side where my main power cord is.
This cable out connector is on passenger side.

I usually bring along a splitter and hook that up to the cable TV port on the CAMP GROUND RV PEDESTAL with a short RG cable. Then I run a long RG cable from the splitter port to the trailer TV port. Then I throw a second RG cable from the other splitter port under the RV to hook up for outside TV usage...

All of this bypasses installed items inside the RV... Made it a simple hookup for me...
