Redhawk 22J - Hot water in cold lines

I have a 2018 Jayco 22J. After filling fresh water tank and driving about 6 hours we stopped for the night. At that point, the water coming from the cold line was warmer than necessary for a shower. I suspect It may be from the catalytic converter which is directly below the water holding tank. Has anyone experienced anything similar? If so, what did you do to alleviate the issue?

I don't have one but I have heard of the problem. If I remember the fix was a metal baffle that prevented the heat from the catalytic converter.

Hopefully a owner will have some input.

Here is a thread on the subject. https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...25r-58958.html

I am of no help but hopefully norty has the answer for you. Another thing to watch out for is running your generator in hot conditions (when you need it most of course) if its placement is up near the water tank. It is on the 24B and the cold water is scalding hot by the end of the day. I used heat reflection on the tank to no avail, and I am forced to carry a giant fan around to sit underneath the coach when dry camping. Hopefully your model will not be affected.
