Seneca BBQ mount
Got tired of setting up a little table for the Weber and we often camp on a sloped River Barr and very uneven for a table. The later Senecas commonly have a varying width of filler on the passenger side, between a side cargo door and rear fender skirt, mine was about 4” wide while some are wider. This section has frame tubing for the skirt area and the cargo bay so this is a very solid point to attach to. I made a frame to screw to the 2 frames and at the bottom of the frame i set it up like a hitch receiver to accept the base that extends out past the body. The comes the swivel arm and baseplate where the left legs of the Weber slide into pockets and the right legs set between flanges and is pinned in. It all worked out great and solid. I put locks on the swivel points for the arm so it can be locked in any position. Where the base pins into the mount, I have 8” of height adjustability for varying terrain.

Stop! Between you and robbbyr I don't have time to keep up with all these mods you guys do. I was just starting to work on the front mud flap reinforcement now you raised the bar again. Great new install. Thanks for sharing especially the pictures.

X2
I've barely got time for mods now... got to de-winterize it next week and get ready for a trip to Minnesota.

I did that at the same time as the BBQ mount . They aren’t going anywhere now.

Looks great. Where do you get the sheets of PVC?

First to correct...I looked it up and it is ABS sheet not PVC. I had a store display business that my son is running now and it was left over material. It is smooth on one side and peddle textured on the other, flexible but a little more rigid than the original flaps. I got it from a local wholesale sign supply company that sell acrylic, vinyl and the sorts. The brand of the ABS sheet is Spartech ABS sheet. Google should come up with something in your area. Its very durable and easy to cut and work with.

Rusty,
I would love to have your skill set; that is some awesome work you do! I feel honored just to have yours shower latch. I will be installing that AFTER it leaves Jayco factory service.

Just picked up my new 37TS and have a lot of catching up to to and I love this idea of a bbq Mount. Can you provide some material sizes you used? Looks like 2”x2” square tubing and 2” pipe? Guessing 1/8” wall?
Thanks,

I pretty much made it up out of what I had laying around. All the square tubing sections are 1 1/4” x .095 wall. The section that the “L” section slides into is a 6” hitch receiver tube that I cut the reinforcement band off of. The bent arm is 1”x .095 DOM tubing and the tubing that the arm slides into is 1.5”x.095 tubing and I found the plastic bushings for the arms on McMaster Carr. I used the bushings so it would move easily and not wear off the powder coating and start rusting. With the 1” arm, it has a slight bounce to it when using but not enough to bother me at all. Since I built this mount I have also built an insert for the compartment these parts are stored in and use Quickfists to hole the arm to the panel above.
