Seneca tool box

I always carry a pretty good set of tools in my motorhome and was trying to find something that I didn’t have to lift out, wouldn’t lose storage because of odd size and have it in a handy spot. Couldn’t find anything that fit the bill so I decided to make my own. I had a small compartment on the 37RB just to the left of the entry door that was a perfect spot. Being a retire cabinet maker that my son took over the business I still have access to the shop so it made of 1/2” and 1/4” Baltic Birch, used full extension touch release guides (push in 1/8” and they pop out 2”) and finished the drawers in polyurethane. Fits like a glove. Oh and it’s getting a bath tomorrow

Nice job. I added a shelf to my storage bin today but after seeing yours I'm not posting a pic.

Wow! Now that’s impressive. Any chance you will be making these to offer for sale? You might have a few interested buyers! Thanks for sharing.

Is the assembly attached to the frame or poly bin, or just freestanding?

It’s free standing but held in place by the door latch, it can’t move with it screwed on. This is on the 2018.5 Seneca and this center section of the storage area is not made up with the usual poly bins. It is made of a heavy steel frame and then 1/2” plywood panels re screwed to the frames and carpeted inside making a pretty solid base.

Sorry guys, not planning on making them to sell. After retiring from woodworking for 37 years and growing to hate it, I starting to enjoy it agin just making stuff for myself.

I got it stocked with everything I used to carry in the old Moho plus more and I still have room to spare.

Rusty, very impressive!! I do a little woodworking on the side, a hobby. Did you happen to draw out some plans on that?
