Skylight insulator

I’m trying to find a skylight insulator. My skylight in our 2017 Greyhawk 29ME measures 26x16 opening. Can’t find that size.
Has anyone found this size or what do you use ?

I've been thinking of installing something like this:

https://www.duoformplastics.com/thermoshieldshade

Nothing in there that really matches the measurements you cite, but there's a measuring guide on that site.

You can also paint the outside of the skylight. I think another member here used plastidip and it made a huge difference.

I was thinking of doing both...

If you are talking about the skylight that has a little accordion cover to close it off, I used the following for insulation. Seems to do a good job. The accordion cover holds it in place.

I did that too.

I think I tried to get too "fancy" with it by trying to stick it to the inside of the skylight. It fell down almost immediately, so now it just sits on top of the accordion shade.

I got some 1” foam board insulation. Cut it to size, stuff it in the hole, close the shade. Done and done !

I used the bubble stuf in the shower area. Would have done that to the front one but thank god they removed them in 2020. Good luck

Enjoy the journey

This is exactly what we do and it works great. Good cheap fix and it keeps so much heat out of the living area when the sun is beating down. Tried to use it in the bathroom skylight too but there is no accordion cover to hold it in place. I used double sided Velcro tape so we could remove it depending on the weather but after a season the heat made the adhesive release. I’ve not found a way to make it stay yet. I’m toying with the idea of some small magnets

I use a piece in my bath skylight to keep out the heat. I just cut a flexible stick, bend it slightly so it stays up and have the bubble wrap on top. Has lasted for years and I just leave the stick there. Stick is a piece of something about the width and thickness of a paint stir stick but long enough, just bow it slightly to provide tension.
