Slide question

2019 29W GREYHAWK single slide that to rocks from front to back when extending. Makes a new noise that occurs about six inches after starting the extension. It extends completely and equally top bottom and side to side. No binding or unusual motor noise such as laboring. Gears look great. Main concern is the apparent rocking and if the is normal?

Slide question

I have a 2017 29W and my slide has always done what you are experiencing with yours. I have never incurred a problem with it. I hope this helps.

Thanks, that does in fact help. We have been very pleased with our unit for the past 2.5 years of full time. Unless something changes I will not worry about it.

Use some slide seal lube on both sides to see if that helps. The seals are probably "grabbing" a little.

You can use PTF dry silicone. Thetford, Camco and several others make one too.

Thanks Grumpy, just inspected the seals and found a 6in tear in one. Clearly from sticking. Treated them and some of the unusual noise is gone. We generally move every 4-5 days but were in one spot for almost 2 mos because of the pandemic. Possibly not using the slide as often caused the sticking and new noises. Seems to be working fine just a little unsettling anytime things like slide operation change. Thanks for your response.
