So....I'm back

After my debacle with Nexus, I actually found a not horrendously priced used motorhome. Picked up a 2021 Entegra Odyssey 31F.

Basically no options. No inverter, no jacks, etc.

Just finished installing the inverter and waiting on the bigfoot jacks. Looks like those aren't going to be in until after labor day.

Picked it up from New York and towed the toad home behind. Much better gas mileage than the old 6.8L V10.

Just spent the last 3-4 days cleaning it, wheeling it out and throwing some paint sealant. I'm not done yet.

The shocks are the stock Ford ones. Wow, they are not good. I'm actually ordering a set of the Konis and the Bilsteins to compare and I'll sell the ones I don't want. Was going to do a writeup review of the differences.

You won't regret the KONI'S.

Welcome back! Congrats on the Odyssey, and hope you have many years of enjoyment with it.

I installed Bilsteins on our F150 shortly after buying it. I don't have personal experience with the Konis, so I'll be interested in your take on the two.

I feel a little spoiled having had the Bilsteins on the '16 31FS. These stock ford shocks are......not good.

Welcome back, so you are purchasing 8 new shocks?

I think both, Koni's or Bilsteins will be better than the oem shocks. From all the reading I have done, the Bilsteins are better for rougher roads and the Koni's are better on smoother roads. In other words, the Koni's are a bit softer but they give a smooth ride on smooth roads, Bilsteins are less soft, but gives a better ride on highways and interstates that are not overly smooth. These reports though are seldom from anyone who has tried both to compare though like you will have, and not necessarily the case on larger class a or super c motorhomes. I look forward to reading your comparison. ~CA

Two previous Tundra TRDs came with them, and the first time we towed with the F150, the DW exclaimed "oh my!" when we went over some not-so-smooth roads. The new shocks have stopped that comment. It may get a pair of SumoSprings in the future, only to see if I can make it just that much better. Always looking at ways for improvement.

Yes, I'll purchase both sets and evaluate. I supposedly have the Koni's on order. Getting the Bilsteins has been a little different since they are out of stock in a few places.
