Thermostat replacement

I want to replace my thermostat on my 2019 Redhawk 29XK. Any recommendations?

This is the one many of us have used to replace that horrible analog thermostat. The Coleman Mach digital.

It was a wire for wire match and easy replacement. Plus, being digital, there isn't the wide temp swings like the OEM one.

I replaced the analog one in our ORV with the same unit that RetiredOne linked to earlier this year. As stated it is a wire for wire swap out plus the mounting holes are the same and it works great. One thing I will note is when I was looking at what to use as the replacement I came across a number of online resellers that were stating that Coleman has discontinued this model with the replacement being a narrower unit. The narrower unit wouldn't match up with the existing mounting holes and may leave them exposed so I would grab this one while you can.

My current back thermostat doesn't have the heat option, only the front one, does it matter? In other words, can I get this one that has the heat option for both locations even though only one has heat as an actual option?

Thanks,
Jeff

I watched u-tube and they were saying to stuff some insulation in the hole the wires come out of and cover with tape. Stops the air in the wall from getting into the thermostat which is a different temp than the coach....Did u guys do that also?

Again, Many Thanks!

You should have closed end crimp connectors for your T-Stat replacement. Chances are that's what Jayco used (or should have). Don't use the twist on connectors !

I used $10 digital thermostat bought from Menards or HD. You just have to determine if your unit needs control power or not. Mine did not.

I used the thermostat listed above for the main control which had heat/cool. For my bedroom which was cool only I used the Coleman RVP 8330-3462 Thermostat. Both work perfectly and were worth the expense.

I used the same thermostat in the rear of my Greyhawk as I did in the front, and yes it works perfectly. Just disregard the heat option, only the a/c will work. Same color wires just swap them out. Keep an old thermostat for an emergency repair...
