Traveling with 50” TV

I want to install a 50” tv in the over cab bed on my Seneca. It would lay flat when traveling and I would put it on a stand when camping. I was told the screen may crack if I lay it flat on its back when traveling. Anyone have experience with this?

I installed a 32" tv on the bedroom wall. When traveling, I take it off the wall bracket and put it at the head of the bed, screen down, under pillows and stuff. Been doing it this way for 5 years and never had a problem with it cracking or coming off the bed.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

We have traveled many miles with TVs and computer monitors laying flat on the screen without issue. Sometimes on laying screen side down on the bed, sometimes somewhere else, but almost always laying flat on the screen side.

The largest TV was a 43" smart TV. Not sure if the extra 7" makes a difference, but I don't see how. Put a blanket or something else soft between the screen and where it is laying and you should be fine.

I have never had an issue with TVs or monitors face down traveling on the bed.
