Water Heater

Is it normal for the hot water heater to build pressure when it heats up or do I have a vent or something else plugged. Thanks Tom

Yes it’s normal for the tank to build pressure. If it starts to drip from the relief valve when hot there’s no air gap at the top of the tank. There should be instructions in the hot water heater manual on how to create the air gap again.
