2016 Jayco Pinnacle Exterior Light

I have a LED Strip Light under the Awning of my 2016 Jayco Pinnacle. It is controlled by a switch in the Control Panel labeled 'Exterior' light. On our last trip I noticed that the LED Strip Light stayed on all the time. This was the first time using the Pinnacle since getting it back from the dealership (11 months a the dealership) having some repair work. I opened the Control Panel and removed the wiring from the Exterior Light Switch and the Light remained on. I contracted Jayco Service to ask if there was another switch for the light in addition to the one in the Control Panel. Jayco responded saying the only switch is the one in the Control Panel. I then asked Jayco for the wiring diagrams for my Pinnacle. Jayco then responded saying my Jayco Pinnacle was build by Gulfstream. I have no idea what is powering the light. Has anyone had any similar issues?

Just thinking out loud, but do you have the wireless remote feature that controls RV functions from your phone/Ipad. or some other device? If so, that might be what's keeping it lit.

Your RV has a ton more switches than ours. Not counting the water heater and pump, we have TWO.

Our 5th has a remote that controls several functions. The manual switches for these features are momentary (spring return to “off”). The control board for the remote features has mechanical relays for things like lights. If your remote is similar perhaps one of the relays has failed. I think newer units may have an all electronic control and no mechanical relays. Also possible during the 11 month “repair” they fixed something that wasn’t broke.

My second awning has the control switch on panel like main awning. But that small black battery powered remote has also an awning light. If turned on from that u can not turn it off with the switch. Also that remote sending unit and fuses are in basement behind the wall.

Right. If the awning light is turned on by the remote. You can only turn it off by the remote

Found issue with light

I did not realize the Awning Light can also be turned on/off with the remote. I typically only use the remote for the slides and did not realize that I had accidently turned the light on with the remote while moving the slide outs. Thanks to all who posted resolution regarding use of the remote.
