2019 Eagle HT 25.5 REOK Rear LED Light BAR

On our 25.5 REOK there is a white LED light bar just below the roof line. I have no idea how to turn this light on or what it is for. CW dealer did not know. Also there is a light switch in the area where you hook up the water and turning it on does not light up anything. The switch illuminates but can't find what is it supposed to turn on.

I am wondering if these two things are connected. Is it perhaps to turn the led light bar on the back to use when doing hook up in the dark and its just not turning on the light?

If any one has this same model and year of 5er perhaps you could chime in if you know.

Thanks
Archie

Just guessing, but could it be a third brake light?

My 321RSTS has the same light. It’s a reverse light.

The switch that lites in the water dock is the light for the dock. Not a lot of light but that is what the dealer told me.

That is correct. The switch itself is the light for the dock. It does not switch anything else on/off.

I never would have thought that. Using a light switch to provide light. Ingenious or ridiculous ...not sure which one!
It would have been nice to put some lights by the sewer discarge so one could see under there at night. I may just use that switch to add some LEDS there. That may be my first mod.
Thank you for that info.

WOW....this new adventure has been a quite the trip of discovery. I can't thank the owner and originator and members of this forum enough. I would be lost.

Thank you all.

Nope......no back up lights when in reverse. I have back up lights in the middle of both rear tail lights, but not the top LED light bar. They probably have not wired them in to tail lights. I think I may do a mod any way and see If I can wire them into a switch that I can turn on to have on when getting to to the camp ground late and use them to to be on while doing the utilities hook up. Will have to look into that.

Thanks to all for the help.

Look under the overhang near the pin box. I have 2 switches there that turn on a light by the pin box and a couple LED light strips on the nose cap.

Never thought that it might be connected to the front LED's......but no, it does not come on with that switch, or the awning lights either.

Its a mystery! The dealer here does not know what it is for or how to turn it on either. Its just total BS the manufactures do not do a detailed manual for every model so one has to guess about everything. Its just lazy and wrong.
I found another issue when I got it home from a dozen warranty fixes. I will take it back and get that fixed and make them figure what the light is for and and how to turn it on. I can fix this new issue.....I just want them to make it right. I will take over the "fix it" when its out of warranty. My grand kids tell their friends that Grandpa can fix anything. Good thing cause I'm 22 months away from fixing everything

It is indeed a backup light, it's part of the JSmart lighting package. I found this video, that shows it working as a reverse light. Enjoy!

You're welcome, Archie. The DW would agree I'm ONE of you're choices...and I'm not tellin' which it is! Always glad to help, when I can.

That reverse light should be wired to the center prong on the light plug. Check the center prong of your tow vehicle for power there.

I’m curious. You say it also has reverse lights in the tail lights. Do they work in reverse? My guess is you got “lucky”, and they put both on during the swap from one to the other.
If you are even luckier, the wiring is accessible and you can wire both up.

Sad thing is, if the dealer you bought it from didn’t know what the light was there’s probably little to be gained by taking it to them to fix it. Lol.

The lack of product knowledge and skilled service technicians the majority of RV dealers have is utterly mind boggling.

Yes the back up lights in the tail tail lights come on in reverse but nothing seems to turn on that roof height back up light bar. I have her tuck away for the winter here in Utah but will find it and fix it next spring.

Thanks to all for the great info and help in determining exactly what that light bar is for. Now I know how to proceed.

Love this community. One can always find answers and and help here. Looking forward to getting the experience to answer some questions instead of always asking.
