2020 377 RLBH frame stress crack

So just picked up our new 2020 377rlbh 4 weeks ago used it only 3 times and I have the dreaded stress crack. It’s in the bedroom slide out lower left corner

Hopefully Jayco can get us in to get this taken care of or replace the unit. But we sure are upset about it . Anyone else have this problem how did jayco deal with it ? Looks like they changed the bedroom slide design on the 2021s.

Should I be requesting a new unit?

Common issue that JAYCO will fix, but yes it is a PITA. Had it on our 2015

Thanks for the info , but it’s only 4 weeks old. I am going to push them for a new unit. Who want a repaired RV that we just picked up.

They won't give you a new unit unless it falls under your states lemon law. But that is a battle in itself and the laws are different state to state. Highly unlikely you will get a replacement. Normally they have 3 tries to fix the same problem under most lemon laws. But your lemon law may not cover RV's. Good luck with your warranty repair or battle.

x2. Ours was at the factory twice within a 3 month period. 1st to fix the stress crack at the bedroom, then a month later to fix the fix.

The second time appears to be holding....

I would have thought by 2020/2021 they would have found a decent solution.
I personally think they need to swallow their pride and put a relief joint in like the majority of other manufacturers.

Jayco is still refusing to do this. Mine is at their repair facility now and they put the new wall on. I asked them to do the relief cut and was told no.

Jayco approved this fix of adding the expansion joint on our 377 and paid for it! Holding well for 2 years and gets checked weekly to see if anything developes

We just had our crack done at Vogt RV in Ft Worth Texas. They do a lot of them and helped Jayco arrive at the current fix. 12 days and it looks new and they did a honey-do list of other minor items, some warranty and some not. Our selling dealer in Winter Park FL refused the job.

Same model as yours and the stress crack started about 3 months after we took delivery. When I first contacted Jayco about it, I was told by Customer Service that "It's not that common of a problem". I had to laugh when she told me that but then I had to say "you folks need to look at the Jayco owner's forum if you think it's not that common of a problem". Mine is scheduled to be picked up the first week of December from a local Jayco dealer in south Louisiana and brought to Vogt RV in Fort Worth Texas for the repair.

Wowsers! This is new to me. I just didn't know about these stress cracks; but would be on the lookout for them if/when we look at going 5er. Hope everyone here that has to deal with it,gets it fixed satisfactory.

That is what Montana has been doing to fix this same issue in their 5th wheels for the past several years. NOT SURE WHY JAYCO HAS NOT COME TO THEIR SENSES AND MADE THIS SAME FIX WHEN THEY KNOW THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR MANY YEARS !! Some folks on this forum have seen this same issue since the 2008 model years. I have 2 camping buddies who have front bedroom slides in their Montana 5th wheels and BOTH model year Montana's had this stress relief cut DURING THE BUILD PHASE. Folks with this issue need to keep the pressure on Jayco to get this KNOWN issue corrected like other manufacturers have been doing for the past several years.

After three years I have expierenced the side wall crack. Jayco appears to be taking the sorry your warranty has expired stance so far but I am still trying to persuade them to fix our unit. My questions are how common is this, how many are having to pay for it out of warranty, and if this is a common known issue that the dealers and Jayco are well aware of why is there not a class action being worked on. From what I have found this is a major design/engineering/manufacturing defect that we as consumers should not bear the bourdon of paying to fix Jayco’s known issue.

Well tomorrow will be two weeks late (past original completion date) to do my second crack fix. The new wall is in but Jayco has been reporting for three weeks they are waiting for attachment parts to finish the job.

Our crack is back already after 1740 miles after picking it up in late July.
We have to go back to Vogt RV (they did the job) since during the job, they noticed a problem with the Schwintec Bedroom slide which would lead to failure before long. I'm going to ask for the relief joint and cover. I don't blame Vogt RV; I blame Jayco.
