A Different MCD Shade Question

I posted a question about these shades earlier but this is a different issue. The wife has noticed that they are not tight against the window when closed. There is an inch or more gap which concerned her that from the right direction you can see inside. I verified this tonight. You can see inside, not a lot but enough to see a person moving, especially in the bedroom slide windows. She now turns out the lights to change clothes or get ready for bed.

You would think the shades would be mounted tighter to the windows but I'm not sure that could be done. Am I the only one who has noticed this and any suggestions? I did look to see if they could be moved inward to be closer to the windows. There does appear to be some room for movement but I'll have to figure our how to remove and reinstall them, if possible.

On edit: I watched a video on removal and I'll see if they can be moved back tighter to the window. It appears this might work only with the shades in the bedroom which don't have the mesh dual shade. The living area ones have the mesh tight against the windows so no adjustment there. The MCD roller shades look great but the old style pleated that were inside a frame on the sides of the windows were totally private.

No, single. Our last fifth wheel had the dual panes but a few of the windows fogged pretty bad after a few years. Didn't want a repeat.

I just looked at ours and the lines of sight that would allow you to look through the gap lead directly into adjoining cabinetry. The cats can get behind the shades but that would not improve the view to a voyeur. We have the big front bay window but the edges of that shade are held captive in a track.
The small windows on either side of the headboard offer no views with the shades drawn except a narrow line of sight to the ceiling.

The reason I asked is it's a lot harder to see inside with the dual pane windows even with the lights on.

Ours are the same, they do not set against the window so there is a gap. Someone would really have to work at it to see something. There needs to be an extension on the valiance to run along the inside edge in the bedroom window to close the gap.

The track, which is attached to the valance, that the shade snaps into can be moved closer to the wall. BUT, if it's too close you may have a problem with the shade rolling up all the way since the shade expands slightly as it rolls up.

Here's a couple of pics of the real culprit, the bedroom slide windows. I honestly hadn't thought much about it but the wife has so it has moved way up the what's important list.

That us quite a gap. Just measured mine and I have about a 1" gap. You should be able to move the track in and take away some of that.

Agree w/ AKRUEBBE, on moving closer to window....we are going to add valence legs, curtains, too ours to block the side gaps on most of our windows.

Good grief! Who's the moron at the fsctory that installed those?? My MCD shades are basically tight against the windows. I'll have to look tomorrow but I think mine roll off the backside of the roller instead of the front which keeps them tight against the windows. Again, I'll look tomorrow and post back.

They are mounted so they roll off the back side.

So heres what I got. The first pic is of our bedroom side windows in the side of the slide. They are right up against the window frame as are all the shades in our trailer. The second pic is of the window in the hallway. I had to angle the camera just right to be able to get the shot of the gap between the material and the window it's so tight. You cant get a womans small finger in that gap without making contact with the material and the window it's so small. The third is the best I could get to show where the shade drum is mounted.
