Auto. Transfer Relay Switch

Question about an Automatic Transfer Relay Switch. We have a 2017 Jayco 24RLS. The relay switch has a constant hum whenever we are plugged into shore power at home or in RV park. The funny (weird) thing is that we don't have a generator on board for it to work with. We've gone out for a couple more extended trips and it really get annoying. Any suggestions? Apparently it isn't needed since we don't have an onboard generator.

My thought would be that it's the converter and not the ATS. If it's the ATS, remove it and wire nut the wires together.

Your rig has geny prep so the relays do close on shore power since it defaults to generator, thus causing the hum. As hoppers4 said you could remove it and just reconnect everything in a junction box.

I have generator prep and my auto transfer switch went bad. actually welded itself to the generator side. I pulled it out and put a "manual" breaker panel in there to switch between the two. Since I currently don't have a generator it would be there in case I every put one in and I could just open the access door in the storage space and flip the breakers. Mine did hum a bit too but it was not very noticeable.
