Awning arms not flush

The awning arms on my #1awning don't close flush. Isn't there an easy adjustment for this?

Do I see something sticking out between the arms about 1/3 of the way from the top?

Maybe that’s just an attachment point.

It's not a very good picture. But the arm doesn't go inside of each other like they're supposed to, all the way up the arm.

Sounds like an install problem. The top mount may not be aligned with the bottom mount. Or maybe the awning is off right or left in the slot?

I have the same issue on my 27.5 RLTS. It is out of warranty, but I complained about it before it ran out. They said they would need to roll out the awning all the way and bring it back in with adjustments - out of alignment is what they said...

I had the same problem with my awning arms. Dealer first tried to adjust the awning fabric. They thought the fabric was skewed. This caused the other awning arm to be out of alignment. After a call to Jayco it was determined the roll tube was too long. Dealer had to remove the roll tube and cut off about 1/8". This fixed the problem with mine.

It's not off by much. I could bang on the side some and it would pop into place on both arms. So it's obviously something minor and simple, just needs to be fixed. It causes space to be between the rolled up awning and the sidewall.

Unfortunately, it may be beyond the dealer's "expertise"

Mine do the same, I have been told in my case that it operates as designed. They also dont open unless I pull them when I start to extend.
