Best TPMS and Cost

There are so many TPMS systems out there. Can anyone suggest one that doesn't cost an arm and a leg that actually works? I only need four sensors as TV has it's own.

I have the EEZ TPMS system for a year on my FW and for 8 years on a previous motorhome and have been very pleased with their operation and accuracy. $259.00 with 4 sensors...........can take up to 18 sensors.

Use this on my Jayco.......Don't be mislead by the price, it works just like the high priced stuff. Solar powered display keeps battery charged, or can be charged by USB. I keep the display on the dash and check it when I stop and in the mornings before towing. I don't "watch" it because it has an audible warning when pressure drops below whatever you set it at. Note: I replaced my rubber valve stems with metal stems, not sure if it was necessary, but seemed prudent.

How do they work at night and/or cloudy weather? Rechargeable backup batteries?

IMHO the payback on a TPMS is how quickly it alerts you when a problem arises. My TireMinder has alerted me to 2 dramatic tire failures (thank you Tow Max) and alerted me in less than a second. In both cases I avoided any secondary damage. I expect any monitor to alert me to low pressure but how quick will it alert me to a tire coming apart? I read the reviews and decided I wanted TM and I then I paid what they asked. TST is another very popular brand but is also not cheap.

Towing a 29RKS - 225x75rx15's - 65psi - about 25 -28' from rear axle to receiver in cab. Pressure sensors "paired" immediately with the receiver and pressures were +- 2psi from my "high dollar" tire pressure gauge. I set my low pressure warning at 40psi. I let air out of the LF trailer tire until I heard the warning beeps. Actual tire pressure was 38psi.

I just got the TST and it seems to work great so far. I would say the monitor is about 30 feet from the rear tire and I don't have the repeater hooked up.If my tires are 80 pounds does anyone know what the high pressure alert should be.

We have the Tire Trakker and can’t compare it with the others but there has to be something better - we always have at least 1 sensor that doesn’t communicate with the display ( sometimes as many as 4 ) never the same sensors but they will start working after 50-100 miles ( frustrating ) yes we have the booster but don’t see any improvement
Very good customer service but I can’t recommend them Les

I just installed a TST on Monday. The instruction manual says to set the high pressure alarm 20-25% above the normal operating pressure.

So if you are inflating to 80PSI (cold), 20% and 25% would be 96PSI and 100PSI respectively.

Note: the description calls specifically for use in AUTO applications, with a max pressure of 6 bar (87PSI), so not a good choice for “E” rated tires which will go well above 87 PSI when hot (if inflated to 80 cold).
