Brake controller

I am having issues with my OEM brake controller. I have replaced the in dash controller and still have a low voltage issue to my pig tail hookup. Instead of donating $165 per hour to the GM dealership to try to figure it out, I am looking at replacing it with a Redarc tow pro from Etrailer. Does anyone have a Redarc or recommend a good controller? I plan to hard wire it in and run a new wire to my pigtail hookup and disconnect the factory garbage.
Thanks

Look under the back of your truck near the plug connector. I believe there is another module there that gets corroded connections. Very common issue. I found the ITBC on my old Silverado be to be excellent.

Thanks Chuck. I saw a large connector above the spare tire. I will attempt to disconnect it and spray it down with electrical contact cleaner. My controller has worked great for the past 6 years. Reading on line allot of people are having issues with “service trailer brake” warnings that keeping popping up on the display. No way to get them to stop. People are saying the dealers are having issues trying to correct this issue also.

I installed the Redarc controller in my 2012 Tacoma. Very easy, and works great. Only a small 3/4” knob, that can be located just about anywhere. Great product, and exceptional tech support if you ever should need it. They helped me through a little issue, that wasn’t related to the controller.
