Delamination on 355MBQS

Hey All-

I've been diligent about going topside with caulk, at least every other month, but looks like it wasn't enough or should I say thorough enough. I discovered delamination yesterday upon getting FW ready for this weekend (first trip this year). I believe the cause / source of water is from under the antennae. Looks like it rubbed enough membrane away for moisture to penetrate. It's in line with the delam going over the side of coach, and also a roof seam on top. The roof wood between where antennae lies and roof edge is compromised (based on touch and sound) when prodding it with hands. Roof feels okay going the opposite way on the seam.

I'm going to dealer today to discuss and schedule appointment. In meantime, I plan on covering the area up top with Eternabond. Would you caulk it first or just tape it? Thanks, Dan

I just taped up the circle area and ran tape down the seam and over the edge. Then caulked several inches of the edge of the roof as well. The area around base of antennae had been attended to very well. If the water is coming in there I would be surprised. Not sure if my original diagnosis is even correct for that matter.

Have an appointment next week with a private company who does the subcontract work for the local dealership.

Dan

Hope it works out for you.

My last Jayco 2008 313RKS did the same thing and I'm trading it in for my 355. Jayco blame it on me, but I was hoping this didn't happen to a newer trailer. For 9 years people asked me why my trailer had buckled.
