Dometic freezer issue, help!

I've had this 2015 jayco eagle 33.5 rets for 2 months and haven't noticed any issues with the freezer however we are not full timers. It stays at an annual spot at a lake and is always plugged into power. We Went to check on the camper today and I noticed the food in the freezer was partly thawed. Nothing has changed on the cooling settings and the food in the fridge was fine so I'm not sure what's going on. The temp inside the rv was 50. I did take the batteries out a month ago because they were bad, but like I said....its plugged into power and stays plugged in. Any ideas?????

Power outage at the site?
Those fridges cool fridge first then the leftover cooling is for the freezer. Just a guess. I would put a battery back in the trailer just to give you the 12 volt for the fridge to run if the pedestal power goes out

I don't think it was a power outage only because the time on the microwave was still correct

It could be a whole host of different issues. First off, make sure the fans are working on the back of the fridge and it’s getting lots off air / cooling.

But the converter does not always function properly without a battery so you may have had a 12v failure at the fridge.

How cold did it get outside? Rv fridges need a cold weather kit if you use it in freezing temps or close to. They get warmer the colder it gets without the kit.

Turn it on gas also, so it can use both if there is an electrical issue.

How full do you have your freezer?

Good Luck.

Freezer or fridge isn't full , its had more in it and the temp outside was maybe 55. I just wasn't sure if it had something to do with having no batteries in the rv . I went back out to check on it this morning and the freezer is doing good now. I did hook up one 12v battery just incase.
