Eagle HT 28.5 RSTS Electrical problem

Having a problem with the part of my circuits. Plugged in at home in a 30 amp circuit through a Progressive EMS which show both legs are fine. In my trailer, this morning as I am packing up to head out tomorrow, I find that the circuits for all the outlets, microwave, fireplace, TV, GFCI, are dead. Lights, refrigerator, range hood, etc work fine. Checked the coach breaker and they are not tripped.

Any ideas?

You're only running on 12V(battery) so sounds like the main is tripped. Did you reset (off & on)?

Did everything work before on your home circuit? You say both legs are ok? 30A only has one leg. 50A has two legs. Did you loose your netural?

Sounds like only outlet based devices are dead. Check the GFCI outlets; they may have tripped overnight.

Resolved

Found the cause. Removed the Progressive EMS from the circuit and the problem went away. Will see if it is the EMS.

The ems could be protecting your unit from something wrong. Low or high voltage. Open ground or such. Better make sure the ems has an issue and not your circuit.

From my understanding from reading other threads, a 50 amp EMS will shut down the electricity when plugged into 30 amps , it sees a problem.

I have used my 50amp EMS when plugged into a 20amp circuit, using the proper dog-bone reducers. My son's house only has 20amp service outside.

No problem....

If your RV has a 50 amp plug and you plug into a 30 amp receptacle you will only have about half of your circuits operating. The 30 amp is a single 120 volt line rather than the 50 amp which is 2 120 volt lines. The 30 amp will only power a single line in your circuit panel. Yes one AC and some outlets will not be powered when on a 30 amp circuit.

Not when using an RV 30A to 50A adaptor. Even the 15/20A to 30A will. So you can use your 50A at reduced current on 15, 20 or 30 amp circuits just fine. It will power both legs with 120V. Done it many of times. My hardwired EMS has no issue with it either.

I have 50 amp wiring, and added a progressive EMS. Everything works fine with both our 30 amp and 20 amp adapters. We just can't turn as much stuff on, or the voltage drop will cause the EMS to kill the power temporarily. It's doing what it's paid to do.
It's a major drop in power when you use an adapter. With 50 amp connection you get 50 amps on each of 2 legs- total 100 amps. With 30 or 20, you get 30 or 20 TOTAL amps SHARED by both legs.

At home it's plugged into a 15 amp long extension cord. Wouldn't even think of using a/c, microwave, or water heater on that cord. It's just there for 12v converter and small 120 stuff that we might plug in.
