Eagle vs North Point
Any one have any opinions with a Jayco Eagle or North Point FW. I am considering a new FW and like the amenities on the North Point but the size of the Eagle. Jayco eliminated the Premier in 2015 and now to get the nicer features you got to go to a 38 footer total exterior length on a North Point. I really don't want to go that big. Any opinions on a loaded Eagle vs going to the North Point

I think they are all built pretty much the same way, same frames, same components and appliances. It's normally cabinets, countertops and fabrics (mostly) that are different. I'd get what you like.
We liked the Eagle HT 29.5BHDS floor plan, but it wasn't offered in the Eagle. As it is, it's a 35' trailer and we didn't want to be longer than our current rig (33'), all the Eagle bunk houses get much longer! The floor plan is more important to us than the trim model. If that floor plan was available in the regular Eagle, we would have gotten that, assuming that it'd have bigger tanks and more carrying capacity.
We didn't want the "half ton towable aspect", but to get the floor plan we want, that's what we are getting.
What's more important to you? Floor plan, or the upgraded interior?

I agree with Cdash. Floor plan was far more important to me.

North point has the drop frame in the front, thus the taller basement. Other than that similar quality with either.

I owned a 2013 Eagle 28.5 RLS with a single slide. Our thought at the time was to downsize from our 1996 Jayco Designer 3030 RKS. It was lighter and had some amenities that weren't available in our older model. I don't know if it was just that year, or the particular model we got, but I wasn't very happy with it. The chairs were uncomfortable and the extra bed was an air mattress that wouldn't hold air all through the night. It was lighter and shorter, but the floor plan was wrong for us. I now have a 2016 North Point 311 RKTS. Haven't used it yet, but really like the floor plan. Its considerably heavier and longer, so our trips this summer will prove interesting. I like the quality of the accessories, and the fact it has a built in generator. Here in Montana we boondock a lot. My sister in law and her husband have a 2015 Eagle 29.5 and love it. I think you'll be happy whichever way you go.

I don't know if they will still do it, but when I was shopping for my Designer I wondered what the differences were between it and the top of the line Eagle at that time. Jayco sent me a spreadsheet with each item that was different.
