Electrical cover

Anyone else having an issue with your outside electrical covers? My Eagle 28.5 RSTS has an electrical outlet on the forward right side forward of the awning arm that keeps losing the cover. At first I thought someone stole it so I had to replace the whole cover assembly. Next trip out was less than a 70 mile trip and when we got to our site the cover was again missing. When I replaced it I gave it a pretty good once over to make sure the cover wasn’t loose, I don’t think the wind at 65mph would be strong enough to pull out it off but I don’t have any other ideas as to how I could keep losing them.

A light bead of clear silicone caulk around the outer edge should stop it from happening.

I used a small piece of velcro on our water spigot cover that flapped in the wind as we drove down the road....no flapping since and cover is better secured.

Try blue loctite on the screw. But caulk may be better.

That is strange that a new second cover would do the same thing. Not really sure how that cover assembly is made, in order to study why it would do that.

Switch to the grey Metal cover . That black looks like plastic to my old eyes.
