Have you tried to adjust the striker plate?

Does the door operate easier when pushing on it from the outside?

Not sure if they use the same striker plate and pins on your rig, but mine was really tight and difficult. A good coating of quality grease on the grooves of the striker plate and on the two locking pins made a heck of a difference.

Had same problem on my new 2020 Greyhawk. The dealer failed to remove some shipping part that was causing the door to open very hard. They removed the part and it works like a charm.

I’m with Al on the striker plate first. We can close ours from the inside with the pull of a pinky finger and open from the outside with the reach of an index finger. I adjusted our striker plate to get a tighter seal for energy efficiency but perhaps yours is too tight?

Has it always been hard to open or just got that way over time? My lock/latch assembly just wore out from use over time and became almost impossible to use. I just replaced the whole assembly with a new one and problem solved. Lubrication didn't help as the internal parts were just "gone". It wasn't expensive, but I don't recall the exact cost. CW had one in stock which was my closest location for the part.
