Ford Tow Vehicle height with Eagle FW

Putting an order in for an F350 CC SB SRW 4x4. Probably going to use a Pullrite Superglide hitch. Does anyone tow an Eagle FW with a 2017 F250 or F350? Which model truck? Hitch? FW? Do you have any issues with bed height causing nose high towing on the FW?

Thanks in advance for your time and experience!

Thanks igofishn. Does your FW ride level? How much clearance to bedrail?

Yes, keep level. Have my Andersen hitch on ISR, and ball mounted 1 notch up from bottom. Do not have clearance on bedtails measured but probably ly 5-6"....no issues with driveway entrances/exit so far, 5k miles.

Is the truck a 4x4?

Ours is not level, but, it is an Eagle HT and F250 4x4.

The truck will be 4X4. Is your FW nose high? How much out of level?

We have a 2017 F350, crew cab 6.75' bed diesel, 3400 lb payload rating, using a Reese titan 20K with manual slider and towing a 2018 30.5MBOK eagle HT. Tows very level, very stable and the setup works very well. The 30.5MBOK is one of the heavier Eagle HT 5th wheels and it does sag the truck so instead of sitting very rear high when unloaded the weight of the trailer drops the back end of the truck so it sits level as well.

Fyrehuntr, I have pretty much the same tow rig as you and will be towing a 5th wheel rated at 2700 lbs dry hitch weight. Are you running leveling air bags?

BryanDeb, I dont have the TV or FW yet. Doing some research before buying. Currently have an F150 with ecoboost and Whitehawk 27dsrl using Equalizer WDH. Great setup, no problems. Going to upgrade. New setup...TV will be either a CC SB SRW Diesel F250 or F350. Airbags to keep things level. Pullrite Superglide and Morryde pinbox. Eagle 321rsts with residential refrigerator. Plan on installing solar panel on roof to keep battery bank topped off when in storage. That is my setup wishlist....

I plan to make reports after the purchase. Coming soon...well...spring 2019. Placing the order this August for the Eagle; January for the truck.

Thanks Fyrehuntr, I’m going with the B&W gooseneck hitch and the Andersen hitch. Think I’ll need the air bags to level out the ride.

Towing an HT 28.5 with a F 250 long bed gasser Lariat model. Moride pin box and Husky hitch. All is level with 5 inched above bed rails. Great combination, rides smooth, must look in rearview mirror to make sure I still have the 5er attached.

Mine is in my sig (F250 4WD crew cab std bed and Eagle HT has 15" wheels). I have 5" clearance between that stupid 'flip up' on the tailgate and the trailer. The front is about 5" higher than when level. Makes sense cause when my trailer is on the pad and level the front overhang is at 59". Truck bed rail at the back is 60" when unloaded. My truck only sags about a couple inches when loaded (2000lb pin weight).

Mine could be made level if I went to 16" wheels and reduced the rail clearance a bit.

Not sure about the Eagle line but the HT's usually come with the springs in a higher mount position. The dealer can change that before you pick it up. Will gain about an inch or two in height.
