Frustrated jayco

Hello all
1994 jayco 32.5 ft fifth wheel
Issues are furnace blower runs constantly
I've cleaned all I could see inside
Furnace would click ...produce heat about 3-8 mins then shut down then click then nothing....
2nd issue is hot water tank
The wierd part is prior to hooking up to city water it was great no issues after disconnecting ( due to no hot water) I tried running off water tank as it worked fine before ...I get 5 to 10 secs of hot water then it goes to a trickle and stops no water pump either...and 2nd wierd issue is the hot side only has pressure when the bypass valve is open and it's cold even with full tank of hot water ???
There's no check valves on hot water tank
The only check valve from what I can find is at city water connection
Please help thank you

Is it new to you. I would not be to frustrated if that is the only problems with a almost 30 year old rig.

Runs constantly, or runs constantly in cold weather? I discovered that issue with my Coachmen 5er, and tracked it to a thermostat that didn't actually have an off position in it. Temp would drop far enough to trip it, and the blower would run, even with the gas turned off.

"Nothing", as in no heat but running blower?

I'm speculating here, but have you pulled the drain plug and over-pressure valve, and given that water heater a really good flush? I'm wondering if it's BADLY limed up, and it's interfering with water flow through the heater.

Do you think you can ask the previous owner if there were any issues with the trailer? Assuming he would fess up to any.

Hmmmm.....'94 Jayco.....might that furnace require you to have a standing pilot light burning?
But even in "off" on the thermo, it shouldn't be trying to run.

Re-read your first post. The water heater problem is a perplexing one. Worked normally until you hooked up to city water, then started acting weird.
Gotta think on that.

Say....can you post a pic of your water heater bypass valve arrangement?

hot water issue sounds like valves not set right. either for hot water bypass or shore vs water pump or combination of the two. Even with the hot water working, it should take 5-10 seconds for hot water to reach a faucet.

As far as the heater, that bad boy is going to need to be pulled apart and have wires traced/tested. Its either broke or was broke and someone rigged it to work at some point. No reason for the blower to run all the time if its off at the thermostat. Its probably a good thing its not working if there's unknown electrical issues with it. Grab a space heater or a small gas heater until you can check it out or have someone look at it. These gas heaters are supposed to be really good and you could hook to RV gas lines with an adapter.

The valves were never changed from summarized to winter - meaning the bypass wasn't touched till I figured out the faucets/ shower have 0 pressure until bypass is open

Possibility of Low Pressure

I have another possibility. I would guess you filled and connected the propane tanks. If a stove or furnace valve was open, then the tank would greatly reduce the flow. Does the stove come on high or reduced flame?
Try shutting everything off and the tank too. Wait three minutes and turn tank on first. Then check stove flame. Is it any stronger?
If the flame is stronger then try the furnace. If not then that was not the problem.
