Good Lippert Customer Service

Not many companies would take care of a customer's product that was a couple years out of warranty, but Lippert did. My large Schwintech slide malfunctioned. Again. It needs a total rebuild. New motors, rails, the entire works. This is the 4th time in 4.5 years that one of my 2 Schwintech slides stranded me and would not retract at the end of a weekend trip. With the help of a mobile repairman, I got the slide in and took it to a local repair shop. When I got the news that it will have to be completely rebuilt, I emailed Lippert customer service. My intent was to simply ask about maintenance going forward, since I need this "new" slide to last longer than a few years. I also gave them my opinion about the Schwintech slide system. I told them it sucks, but I am stuck with it until I replace my fifth wheel. I asked for nothing more than how to keep this repaired slide working longer. I received a call from them within an hour, they contacted the repair shop, and are going to comp the entire rebuild kit and parts. Wow. I know I will still hesitate and say a quick prayer before pushing that slide button in the future, hoping the thing is going to work. But Lippert is a first class operation. They stand behind their product. And I, and my wallet, are especially grateful for that.

That is good news! Nice to see a company stand by their products after warranty this day and age, but rather wash their hands of the customer after the sale. Customer service still goes a long way toward repeat buyers. Let us know how it goes.

Lippert (LCI) Product/Technical Support has been very prompt/informative at responding to my product questions/concerns as well....., presently addressing my Solera awning fabric 'stretching' concern.

Yeah I have had great luck with all of our sub-vendors, Lippert, Dometic, the Splendide people, etc.. They answer the phone promptly, are knowledgeable and resolve warranty issues promptly without Jayco's involvement.

Glad to hear that Lippert stepped up for you post-warranty. Jayco seems to forget that we are all potential repeat customers. From my experience, the vendors don't forget that.
